Hariyali Gobi Pakoda

2 cups gobi cut into florets
1/4 cup corn flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1 tblsp besan/  bengal gram flour
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
2 sprigs of curry leaves and 2 green chillies for garnishing

for the green paste:
6-8 palak leaves(optional)
Small piece of capsicum
1/2 cup coriander leaves
3 green chillies
5 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger piece
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste


  • Put the gobi florets in warm water with salt  for 15 mins
  • Wah well and drain all the water,add the ground green masala as needed
  • Add rice flour,corn flour,besan, salt to taste and toss well
  • Add little water and mix well so that all the gobi florets are coated well with the masala
  • Heat oil and deep fry the pakodas in a medium flame till they become crisp
  • Garnish with the fried curry leaves and green chillies
  • Serve hot with hot coffee or tea.
