Tomato Shavige


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup sevaiya / idiyappam slightly crushed (i used leftover shevai.you can use any readymade vermicelli)
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1 tsp red chilli pdr
1/2 tsp chana masala pdr or any garam masala pdr
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • Heat oil in a kadai ,add mustard,once it starts crackling ,add chopped onions 
  • Saute onions till it becomes transparent,followed by chopped tomatoes
  • Fry the tomatoes till it becomes mushy
  • Add the spice powders and fry for a minute
  • Now drop in the shevai / vermicelli ,salt to taste and mix well
  • garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot .
