Benne Dosa

3 cups dosa rice
1 cup urad dal
2 tblsp toor dal
1 tsp methi / fenugreek seeds
Salt to taste
Pinch of sugar
2 tblsp maida
Pinch of cooking soda
Butter for cooking dosa


  • Soak rice, dal, methi ,toor dal in water for 6 hrs. Wash well and grind into a smooth batter
  • Let it ferment for 8 hrsor over night. Next day before making dosa add salt, sugar, cooking soda and maida to the fermented batter, mix well 
  • Heat tava and make thick dosa using butter. Cook both the sides and serve hot with chutney
