Potato and capsicum Sagle
This is a typical Konkani dish based with coconut gravy , semi solid consistency.This dish goes well with rice as well as roti.Here i've used potato and capsicum.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup capsicum cut into cubes
2 boiled potatoes cut into cubes
4 tsp oil
1 tsp muatard
curry leaves
Salt to taste
FOR MASALA:
2 cups grated coconut
1/2 tsp tamarind pulp
In 1 tsp oil roast 2 tsp urad dal (black gram),1/2 tsp coriander seeds and 5 red chillies till light brown----Grind these ingredients into little coarse masala and keep
PROCEDURE:
- In a pan take 1 tsp oil and saute capsicum with little salt till it is cooked
- Add boiled potato , ground masala ,1/2 cup water,salt to taste and cook for 5-10 minutes
- Temper with mustard seeds and curry leaves
