Prawn chilli
INGREDIENTS:
1/2 kg prawns
2 onions cut into cubes
2 green chillies
5 finely chopped garlic
1/2 inch ginger piece
5 tsp oil +oil for frying
3 tblsp chopped spring onion
For marination:
4 tblsp corn flour
2 tblsp maida
1 tspsoya sauce
1 tsp ginger garlic paste
Salt to taste
For the sauce:
1/4 cup water
2 tsp corn flour
1 tsp soya sauce
1/2 tsp ketchup
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp ajinamoto(optional)
1/2 tsp vinegar
Mix these ingredients in water and keep aside
PROCEDURE:
- Wash and clean the prawns and marinate with the above ingredients .
- Refrigerate the marinated prawns for 1 hour
- Deep fry the prawns till it becomes crisp
- In a pan heat oil and saute chopped onion,garlic.ginger,green chillies for 5 minutes on a high flame
- Add the sauce prepared
- When it starts boiling and becomes thick,add fried prawns and salt to taste and mix well
- Garnish with spring onion and serve hot with any rice
