Ridgegourd skin chutney(ghosale sheere chutney)

1 cup ridgegourd skin
1/4  cup grated coconut
1 tsp oil
2 green chilliese
2 tsp jeera(cumin seeds)
little tamarind
Salt to taste
For tempering:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves


  • Heat a pan and put oil and add jeera,green chillies chopped and fry for a minute
  • In the same pan add ridgegourd skin ,coconut and fry for 5-10 minutes
  • When it comes to room temperature grind it with tamarind and salt to taste ,adding little water
  • Finish it with adding tempering
  • Serve with hot rice and dal or rasam
