Baby corn sesame chilli with veg. pulav
INGREDIENTS:
12 nos of baby corns
oil for frying + 5 tsp for seasoning
10 garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 inch ginger finely chopped
2 green chillies finely chopped
2 onions chopped
3 tsp soya sauce
1 tsp tomato ketchup
1 tsp chilli sauce
1/2 tsp vinegar
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp ajinamoto (optonal)
2tsp corn flour diluted in 1/4 cup water
For garnishing:
3 tsp roasted white sesame seeds(til)
coriander leaves
Make thick batter of following ingredients:
1/2 cup corn flour
1/4 cup rice flour
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste
little water
PROCEDURE:
- Cut baby corns into 2 pieces (lengthwise)
- Mix with the prepared batter and deep fry till it becomes crispy
- In a pan heat oil ,saute chopped garlic,ginger,green chillies and onions on a high flame
- Add all the ingredients no 7 to 13 1nd fry for a minute
- Add the corn flour slury,when it starts boiling and becomes thick add fried corns ,salt to taste
- Garnish with roasted sesame seeds and coriander leaves
- Serve ot with rice or noodles
VEGETABLE PULAV:
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups basmati rice
2 sliced onions
2 cups chopped veggies like carrot,baby corn and green peas
1 tsp lime juice
coriander leaves
5 tsp ghee or oil
Salt to taste
for the paste:
1/4 cup coriander leaves
2 tsp jeera(cumin seeds)
3 green chillies
4 garlic cloves
1/2 inch ginger piece
1 tsp biryani masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Grind these into a fine paste and keep aside
In cooker heat oil or ghee and saute sliced onions for 2 minutes
Add the masala and fry well
Add rice and fry for 5 minutes
Add veggies ,salt to taste, lime juice and 3 1/2 cups of waer and cover the lid
Cook it for 2 whistles and switch off the gas
Garnish with coriander leaves
