Oats Idli with Chutney
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup oats
1/2 cup rava (semolina)
1 cup curd
1/2 tsp baking soda
Salt to taste
For seasoning:
2 tsp oil
curry leaves
1 tsp mustard
1 tsp cumin seeds
pinch of asafoetida(hing)
1 tsp crushed ginger
1 tsp chopped green chillies
for garnishing:
Grated carrot 1/4 cup
chopped coriander leaves
PROCEDURE:
- Dry roast oats and make powder
- Dry roast rava and mix it with oats and curd
- Add salt, seasoning ,baking soda and water if needed (normal idli batter consistency)
- Keep the batter covered for 15 minutes
- Grease the idli moulds ,put little grated carrot and chopped coriander leaves and then put the batter
- Steam idlis in preheated cooker or idli vessel
- Steam for about 15 minutes
- Serve hot with cutney
