Peas Pulav with Bhindi Manchurian


INGREDIENTS:

2 cups basmati rice
1/2 cup fresh green peas
2 sliced onions
6 tsp ghee
3 green chillies
2 tsp jeera (cumin seeds)
1/2 inch ginger
5 garlic cloves
salt to taste
corriander leaves for garnishing

PROCEDURE:


  • Coarsely grind green chillies,ginger garlic and jeera(cumin seeds)
  • In cooker take ghee or oil and saute onions till pink in colour
  • Add ground paste and fry for 5 minutes
  • Put rice and fry for 5 minutes
  • Add green peas ,salt to taste 3 1/2 cups water n close the lid 
  • Switch off the gas after 2 whistles 
  • Garnish with corriander leaves 
BHINDI MANCHURIAN INGREDIENTS:

250 gms bhindi/ladies fingers
2 chopped onions
5 chopped garlic cloves
2 green chillies
1/2 inch ginger piece
5 tsp oil +oil for frying
4 tsp corn flour
3 tsp rice flour
2 tsp maida
1/2 tsp pepper powder
Salt to taste

For the sauce
in 1/2 cup water mix 2 tsp corn flour,2 tsp soya sauce.1/2 tsp vinegar,1 tsp tomato ketchup and 1 tsp chilli powder and keep aside.
PROCEDURE:
  • Wash and cut the ends of bhindi and cut into 1 inch pieces
  • Coat it with corn flour,rice flour,maida,salt and pepper powder with little water and deep fry till it becomes crispy pakodas
  • In a pan heat oil ,saute chopped garlic,green chillies, ginger and onions for 4-5 minutes
  • Add the prepared sauce and mix 
  • Wen it becomes thick put the fried bhindis and mix well
  • Garnish with chopped  coriander leaves or spring onion
