Italian Khakra with Creamy Potato Dip


Khakra ia a traditional Gujarati snack,prepared with whole wheat atta with different flavours like,methi/fenugreek,garlic,ajwain etc....I tried this with some Italian herbs....

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup whole wheat flour
2 tsp oil
salt to taste
1/2 tsp oregano
1 tsp red chilli flakes
1/2 tsp mixed herbs
water as required

PROCEDURE:

  • Mix all the ingredients and knead the medium soft dough
  • Keep for 15 minutes
  • Devide the dough into equal portions
  • Roll each ball into a thin chapati/roti applying little oil
  • Heat tava and roast it on a low flame
  • Press it with one cloth  or wooden press and roast both the sides
  • while roasting put oil on roti
TO MAKE DIP:

Mash 1 potato,add salt to taste,little sugar,2 tsp cheese spread,2 tsp curd,2 tsp chopped bell peppers and 1/2 tsp red chilli flakes ---Mix all these and your dip is ready to eat !!
