Taushe Saasam


TAUSHE is also called cucumber in English and Kakdi in hindi!! This is a typical Konkani dish .

INGREDIENTS:

1 cucumber/taushe
1/2 cup grated fresh coconut
1 roasted red chilli
1 green chilli
1 tsp mustard+ 1/2 tsp for tempering
little tamarind
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
Curry leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash and peel cucumber 
  • Finely chop cucumber and green chilli 
  • Grind coconut,mustard,red chilli and tamarind to a fine paste
  • Add the ground masala to the cucumber and adjust the consistency adding water according to your taste(semi solid)
  • Temper with mustard and curry leaves
