Masala Churmuri

2 cups roasted churmura / puffed rice
4 tsp oil
1 tsp turmeric powder
5 red chillies
1/4 cup peanuts
10- 15 finely chopped garlic
1 tsp mustard
salt to taste
Some curry leaves


  • Dry roast peanuts in a kadai and keep aside
  • In same kadai heat oil ,add mustard,curry leaves and chopped garlic
  • Fry till garlic becomes brown
  • Add turmeric powder and red chillis chopped and fry for a minute
  • Put roaste peanuts and fry for 2 minutes
  • Add churmura ,salt and toss well 
  • Store in an airtight jar and serve with coffee or tea.
