Mushroom nSoya bean rice


Soya bean is very good for health! so tried it with pulav and it tasted very yummy too !!So sharing the recipe with all of you !!

INGREDIENTS:
2 cups basmati rice
1/4 cup soaked and cooked soya bean (dont overcook it)
2 sliced onions
1 finely chopped tomato
6 tsp oil or ghee
1 tsp biryani masala
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste
2 tsp lime juice
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:

1/4 cup coriander leaves
2 green chillies
1/2 inch ginger
4 garlic cloves
3 tblsp chopped onion
2 tsp cumin seeds
2 cloves(lavang)
1/2 inch cinnamon (dalchini)

Grind this into a fine paste

PROCEDURE:

  • In cooker heat oil or ghee and saute onions for 5 minutes 
  • Add masala and fry till raw smell goes
  • Put the washed rice and fry for 5 minutes
  • Add chopped tomato and fry
  • Put the soya beans,salt to taste,turmeric powder, red chilli powder  and biryani masala and mix well.
  • Add 3 1/2 cups water, lime juice  and close the lid
  • After 2 whistles switch off the gas
  • Open the lid and gently mix the rice with a fork and garnish with chopped coriander leaves
