Daliya Khichdi


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup daliya / broken wheat
3 tsp oil or ghee
2 green chillies
1 sliced onion
4 crushed peppercorns
1 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 cup veggies (gobi,green peas n carrot)
1/2 tsp ginger garlic crushed(optional)
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1/2 tsp garam masala (optional)
Salt to taste
1 tsp lime juice
Chopped coriander leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • In cooker heat oil and saute onions till transparent
  • add cumin seeds,pepper ,ginger garlic crushed,green chillies,garam masala and fry for 3 mins
  • Put turmeric pdr,veggies,daliya,salt to taste and 3-4 cups of water  and close the lid
  • Take 3 whistles and switch off the gas
  • After the steam is released open the lid ,add lime juice,lil ghee and garnish with copped coriander leaves
