Mint Aloo Bhaat








INGREDIENTS:
1  cup basmati rice
4-5 tsp ghee oroil
2 potatoes cut into cubes
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp lime juice
1 tsp shahijeera

For the paste:
3 tblsp mint leaves (pudina patta)
2 tblsp coriander leaves (dhaniya patta)
2 green chillies
1 tsp shahi jeera
Grind the above ingredients into a fine paste and keep aside

PROCEDURE:

  • In cooker take oil or ghee and put shahi jeera and add the potato cubes,salt and cook for 5 mins
  • Add the masala and fry till raw smell  goes
  • Add the soaked basmati rice and saute for 5 mins
  • Put salt to taste,1 1/2 cups water and close the lid
  • After 2 whistles switch off the gas
  • After steam is released open the lid,add lime juice and gently mix the rice with a fork
  • serve hot with any raita
Note:whenever u prepare pulav in cooker release the steam by lifting the weight of the cooker 2 times after you switch off the gas for the good result!!
