Shakkar Paara/Shankarpali(Sweet)


INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup Maida /All purpose flour
1/4 cup water
5-6 tsp sugar
4 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp salt
Oil for deep frying

PROCEDURE:

  • In a bowl put water,salt ,ghee and sugar and mix well
  • When sugar is dissolved in water add maida  and knead  into a stiff dough
  • Keep covered for 10 mins
  • Devide the dough into portions and make balls
  • Roll each ball into a little thick roti and cut into diamond or square shaped shakkar paras
  • Heat oil and deep fry into crisp shakkar paras 
  • Fry on a medium flame
  • Store in an airtight container and serve with tea or coffee !!!
