Shakkar Paara/Shankarpali(Sweet)
INGREDIENTS:
3/4 cup Maida /All purpose flour
1/4 cup water
5-6 tsp sugar
4 tsp ghee
1/2 tsp salt
Oil for deep frying
PROCEDURE:
- In a bowl put water,salt ,ghee and sugar and mix well
- When sugar is dissolved in water add maida and knead into a stiff dough
- Keep covered for 10 mins
- Devide the dough into portions and make balls
- Roll each ball into a little thick roti and cut into diamond or square shaped shakkar paras
- Heat oil and deep fry into crisp shakkar paras
- Fry on a medium flame
- Store in an airtight container and serve with tea or coffee !!!
