Masala Gobi
INGREDIENTS:
2 cups gobi florets
2 tsp + 3 tsp oil
2 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera
1 tsp grated ginger
2 tomatoes
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp Kitchen King masala
2 tsp red chilli powder
1green chilli chopped
2 tsp kasuri methi
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
PROCEDURE:
- Cut the gobi and put in saltwater for 20 mins
- Remove it from water and put in a strainer and saute it in 2 tsp oil with salt till it is cooked
- Grind the tomatoes and keep aside
- In a pan heat oil ,add jeera,ginger and green chillies and fry
- Put the tomato pureed and fry till the raw smell disappeares
- Add all the spices ,fried gobi,salt to tasteand 1/4 cup water and cook for 5-10 mins
- add kasuri methi and chopped coriander leaves and toss well
- serve with roti
- In the original recipe chef had deep fried the gobi ,if you want to make the sabji more rich in taste then you can deep fry it !!
