Tomato pulav



INGREDIENTS:
1 cup basmati rice soaked in water for 20 mins
1 sliced onion
2-3 slit green chillies
2 tsp cumin seeds
1/2 inch chopped ginger
4 garlic cloves finely chopped
1/2 tsp pepper corns
2 cloves/lavang
1/4 tsp turmeric pdr
5 tsp oil
2 finely chopped tomatoes
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • In cooker heat oil and add cumin seeds,pepper corns
  • When it is fried add lavang,green chillies,ginger and garlic chopped and fry for 5 mins
  • Put the sliced onions and saute till it becomes transparent
  • add chopped tomato and fry till it becomes pulpy
  • add turmeric pdr ,and washed,soaked rice and fry for 3 mins
  • Add salt to taste and 1 1/2 cups water and take 2 whistles
  • After steam is released ,open the lid of cooker  and add the chopped coriander leaves and mix gently
  • Serve with raita!!
