Chicken leg piece pepper roast


INGREDIENTS:
2 Chicken leg pieces
Salt to taste
4 tsp oil
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1 tsp garam masala pdr
1 1/2 to 2  tsp pepper pdr
1/2 tsp red chilli pdr
1 chopped green chilli
2 sprigs of curry leaves
2 tsp lime juice

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
3 Tsp oil
3 chopped onions
6 garlic cloves
1 inch ginger
4-5 mint leaves
In oil fry the above ingredients till onion becomes light brown
Once it is cooled grind into a fine paste and keep aside

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash the chicken leg pieces and make a cut on it
  • Cook the leg pieces in 1 cup water with salt till it is cooked 75%
  • In a pan heat oil ,add ground masala and fry for 5-10 mins
  • Add all the spices,green chillies and fry for 2 mins
  • Put the boiled leg pieces,salt to taste and curry leaves and cook with a lid covered ,till chicken is cooked
  • Open the lid ,add lime juice  and cook till it becomes dry ,garnish with fried curry leaves
  • Serve hot with any rice!!
