Drumstick n Radish HuLi


INGREDIENTS:
1/4 cup boiled toor dal
2 drumsticks 
2 radish
1 chopped tomato
Chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste

TO BE GROUND TO PASTE:
3 tblsp fresh grated coconut
3-4 tsp Huli powder
lil tamarind

FOR THE TEMPERING:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig of curry leaf
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida

PROCEDURE:

  • Peel the outer skin of drumsticks and cut into 2 inch pieces and boil them separately(dont put in cooker)
  • Peel theradish and cut into thin roundels
  • Cook radish and chopped tomato in cooker for 2 whistles
  • Transfer the boiled dal and boiled veggies in a vessel,put salt to taste,ground masala and water as needed
  • Make it boil  and temper with the ingredients
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
  • Serve hot with rice!!
