KHICHDI IS A TYPICAL KONKANI DESSERT PREPARED WITH BROKEN WHEAT AND CHANA DAL !!tASES LIKE PONGAL , IT IS SERVED HOT WITH FRESH GHEE! THIS COMBINATION OF DOSA WITH KHICHDI IS VERY POPULAR IN SOUTH KANARA ! THOUGHT SHARING IT WITH ALL OF YOU!!
1 cup urad dal
2 cups dosa rice
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking dosa
- Soak rice and dal in water for 5-6 hrs
- Wash well and grind into a smooth batter and ferment overnight
- Add salt to taste and water to adjust the consustency of the batter
- Heat tava and make semi thick dosas on a medium flame,cooking on both the sides ,adding 2-3 tsp oil
- Serve hot with khichdi!!
