Vatanache usal with Pav


Thanks to my FB friend Sushma Mallya for this recipe !! Tried this with a  little change, substituted coconut milk with normal milk !!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh green pea
1 finely chopped tomato
6-7 flakes finely chopped garlic
1 tsp red chilli pdr
1/4 tsp turmeric pdr
1tsp usal masala /garam masala pdr(I used usal masala)
1 tsp besan
2 tblsp oil
1 tsp mustard
1 sprig of curry leaf
1/4 cup coconutmilk (I used normal milk)
Coriander leaves
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE:

  • Heat oil in a pan add mustard,when it starts to splutter add curry leaf and garlic chopped
  • Fry till garlic becomes golden brown
  • Add chopped tomato and fry till they become mushy
  • Add red chilli pdr,haldi pdr and usal masala pdr fry for a min, add besan and give a stir
  • Put the boiled green peas ,salt to taste ,milk and bring that to boil
  • Adjust the consistency adding little water according to your taste
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with roti,poori,or pav !!
