Mangalore Banana Halva

3 big size  over riped  nendra bananas
3/4 cup sugar
2-3  tblsp ghee
1 tsp cardamom pdr


  • Peel the bananas and roughly chop them
  • Put the bananas in a blender and make fine paste
  • Transfer the banana puree in a thick bottomed pan ,add sugar  , ghee and cook on a low flame( keep the flame low till u finish the procedure)
  • Keep stirring the mixture on a low flame ,continuously till halva starts to form and ghee leaves the sides
  • When the mixture turns to dark brown,blackish colour, add cardamom pdr  and transfer it on a greased thali 
  • Spread evenly with a spoon and allow to cool down at room temperature
  • Cut the halva into desired shapes and store in an airtight container !!
