Capsi Carrot Chitranna

1 cup rice cooked in cooker(you can use leftover rice)
4 tsp oil
3 chopped green chillies
1 sprig of curry leaf
1 tsp mustard
2 tsp urad dal
2 tblsp peanuts
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1/2 cup finely chopped carrot and capsicum
Salt and lime juice to taste(You can also use grated raw mango)
Chopped coriander leaves


  • Take oil in a pan add mustard,curry leaves,green chillies and fry
  • Add urad dal,peanuts and fry till brown
  • Put turmeric pdr,chopped carrot, capsicum ,salt and cook with a lid covered
  • when it is cooked add cooked rice,lime juice and toss well
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve with raita or pickle!!
