Crispy Masala Dosa


Special thanks to my cousin Prabha Vaman Bhat for this  wonderful crispy masala dosa recipe !!

INGREDIENTS:
1 cup dosa rice
1/2 cup urad dal/ skinless split black gram
2 tsp chana dal/ bengal gram
3 tsp toor  dal
1 tsp methi/ fenugreek seeds
3 tsp poha/beaten rice/ avalakki
3 tsp fine rava/ semolina
Salt to taste
Pinch of sugar
Oil for cooking dosa

PROCEDURE:

  • Saok rice,urad dal,chana dal ,toor dal and methi seeds in water for 5-6 hrs
  • Wash poha ,soaked dal and grind into a fine paste and ferment overnight
  • Next morning ,add sugar ,salt and rava to the batter and adjust the consistency adding water 
  • Heat tava ,sprinkle water and wipe with a tissue paper
  • Take one laddle full batter and spread dosa and cook on a medium flame adding 2-3 tsp oil
  • Once it is roasted ,spread red chutney on it ,put some potato sabji ,fold and serve hot!!!
