Menthya soppina akki rotti/ Methi leaves Rice roti

1 cup rice flour
1/4 cup finely chopped methi/ fenugreek leaves
1 finely chopped onion
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
2 tsp finely chopped curry leaves
3 tblsp finely chopped coriander leaves
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking


  • Take all the ingredients in a bowl(except oil)
  • Add water as required to knead the batter  and make a soft batter like medu vada batter 
  • Devide the batter into portions,take one portion and make roti on a greased plastic sheet or banana leaf 
  • Heat tava and transfer the roti on it and cook both the sides using oil
  • Serve hot with chutney
  • For chutney :grind fresh coconut with roasted red chillies,littletamarind,salt and garlic cloves!!!
