Special thanks to my friend Deepa Vikram Rao for this recipe !!
1 cup rice flour
1/2 cup maida/ all purpose flour
1/2 cup semolina/fine rava
1/2 cup grated dry coconut
6-8 dry red chillies
2 tblsp white sesame seeds 
1 tsp asafoetida/ hing
4 tblsp melted dalda or butter
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying


  • Make fine powder of dry coconut ,red chillies and put in a bowl
  • Add other ingredients to it  and mix well 
  • Using water knead a semi soft dough ,devide them into small portions
  • Make balls of the devided portions,roll them n give the shape of kodubaLe
  • Heat oil and deep fry them on a medium flame till it becomes crisp and brown colour
  • and your kodubaLe is ready to eat
  • Store them in an airtight container and enjoy with a hot cup of tea or coffee!!!
