Alsande masala palya



INGREDIENTS:
250 gms alsande/long beans cut into 1 inch pieces
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves
Salt to taste

FOR THE MASALA :
1/2 cup fresh grated coconut

1.5 tsp red chilli pdr
2 garlic cloves
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
Grind the above into a coarse masala (run the mixer only for 2-3 seconds)

PROCEDURE:

  • In a pan heat oil,add mustard,curry leaves ,once the mustard crackles add cut long beans,1/4 cup water ,salt and cook with a lid covered
  • Once the beans are almost cooked add the ground masala ,mix well and cook for 5 mins or till it becomes dry
  • Serve hot with rice or roti!!!
NOTE: you can use mustard in place of garlic in the masala paste!!Rest ingredients are same!!
