Chatpata Ghantiya

1/2 cup boiled ,mashed potatoes
1/2 cup besan/  bengal gram flour
2-3 tblsp wheat flour
1/2 tsp lemon juice
2 tsp til/ sesame seeds
1 tsp ajwain
2 tsp red chilli pdr
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida pdr
3-4 tsp oil
Oil for deep frying


  • Take ingredients no 1 to 9 in a big bowl mix well and  make a dough using water as needed
  • Take ghantiya mould,fill with the dough
  • Heat oil and press the mould to make ghantiyas ,in the oil
  • Cook on a medium flame and fry till it becomes crisp and brown in colour
  • Store in an airtight container once it comes to room temperature!!!
