Moong Usal with Pav
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup moong sprouts/ sprouted green gram
1.5 tblsp oil
2 small onions chopped 1 tomato chopped 4 garlic clvEes finely chopped
1 green chilli chopped
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida pdr
1 tsp coriander pdr
2 tsp goda masala or garam masala
1 tsp red chilli pdr
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves for garnishing
2 tblsp grated coconut
Lemon wedges,chopped onions and farsan for serving
PROCEDURE:
- Cook the sprouts in cooker with 1/2 cup water only for 1 or two whistles
- In a pan heat oil ,add chopped garlic,onions and saute till it becomes transparent
- Put hing ,tomato chopped and cook till it becomes mushy
- Now add all the spice powders one by one and fry for 2 mins
- Add the cooked sprouts,salt to taste and water to adjust the consistency
- Add coconut gratings and make it boil for 5 mins
- Garnish with chopped coriander leaves
- Put in a serving plate and sprinkle some farsan,chopped onions over it
- Serve hot with pav or bread slices!!!
