Pesarattu


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup moong/green gram/ hesaru kaaLu
1/2 cup dosa rice/ raw rice
2 tsp cumin seeds/ jeera
1/2 inch ginger
1-2 green chillies
Salt to taste
Oil for cooking dosa

FOR THE TOPPING:
2 finely chopped onions
1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
In 1 tsp oil saute chopped onions with little salt only for 2 mins ,add chopped coriander leaves and keep aside
You can also micro it for 2 mins

PROCEDURE:

  • Soak rice ,moong in water for 2-3 hrs,wash and grind with ginger,green chillies and cumin seeds into a fine batter,add salt to taste
  • No fermentation is required for this dosa 
  • Heat tava ,take a laddle full batter and spread a thin dosa
  • Spread sauted onion,coriander leaves  mixture on dosa 
  • Press a little with the laddle,add oil and cook till it becomes crisp 
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney!!!
