Potato Talasani

2 potatoes,peeled and cut into thin slices and  keep in water
5 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
8-10 garlic cloves crushed
2 tsp red chilli pdr
Salt to taste


  • Drain water from the sliced potatoes,add salt ,mix well and keep for 20 mins 
  • Heat oil in a non stick pan ,add mustard, once it starts crackling add crushed garlic and fry till it becomes brown
  • Add chilli pdr fry for a second ,followed by potato slices(squeeze all the water  before adding the potato)
  • Mix well and cook on a medium flame covered with a lid till potatoes are done
  • Serve hot with rice and dal !!!
