Poori with Aloo matar


INGREDIENTS:
1 cup fresh green peas
 1 potato cut into cubes
2 tblsp curd
4 tsp oil
1 tsp jeera/ cumin seeds
2 tsp red chilli pdr
1/2 tsp turmeric pdr
2 tsp kitchen king masala or any garam masala
2 tsp  kasuri  methi
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
In 2 tsp oil fry 1 chopped onion,1/2 inch ginger,4 garlic cloves till onion becomes light brown and grind with 5-6 cashew nuts into a fine paste.

PROCEDURE:

  • Boil potato cubes and green peas with 1/2 cup water and little salt ,in cooker for 2 whistles
  • In a pan heat oil,add jeera,when it splutters, put the ground masala pste fry till oil leaves the sides
  • Add the spice powders one by one and fry for 3-4 mins
  • Now put the curd and mix well
  • Drop in the boiled potato,green peas ,salt to taste
  • add little water and adjust the consistency according to your taste
  • Put the kasuri methi and boil for 5 mins
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with pooris,rotis or chapati etc!!!
