Kadgi Sukke


INGREDIENTS:
2 cups kadgi / raw jackfruit cut into cubes
Salt to taste

FOR THE MASALA:
1 cup grated coconut
little tamarind
2 tsp urad dal 
4 red chillies
roast urad dal and red chllies in 1/2 tsp oil and grind with coconut,tamarind into a semi coarse masala  and keep aside

FOR THE TEMPERING:
3 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
curry leaves

PROCEDURE:

  • Cook raw jackfruit/ kadgi pieces in cooker with salt and 1/2 cup water for 2` whistles
  • Once the steam of the cooker is released ,transfer the jackfruit pieces from ,the cooker to a vessel,add the masala ,salt to taste, 1/2 cup water and boil it
  • Temper with the ingredients mentioned 
  • Serve hot with rice and dal !!!
