Besan ki Kachori


INGREDIENTS:
2 cups wheat flour
1 tsp ajwain/ carom seeds
Salt 1 tsp
Oil 2 tblsp
Water as needed

For the filling:
Oil 1 tblsp
1 cup besan
1 finely chopped onion
Spices as per your taste like red chilli pdr,hing,jeera pdr,coriander pdr
Oil for deep frying

PROCEDURE:

  • Heat a pan ,add oil ,put hing/ asafoetida
  • Add chopped onions,saute for 2 mins
  • Add besan,salt,red chilli pdr and other spices and mix well
  • Saute for 2 mins ,add chopped coriander leaves,and the filling is ready
  • For the dough take wheat flour in a bowl,add ajwain,salt and oil to it and knead the dough
  • Keep the dough covered for 15 mins
  • Devide it into portions and make balls
  • Roll each ball into a small poori keep the filling in the middle and enclose from all the sides,flatten them once again 
  • Heat oil ,fry the kachoris on a medium flame till they become crisp and golden brown
  • Serve hot with chutney and a cup of tea.
