Gobi ke Pakode/ Cauliflower bhajiya



INGREDIENTS:
1 cup gobi / cauliflower cut into florets
Salt to taste
Oil for frying

FOR THE BATTER:
1/2 cup besan / bengal gram flour
3 tsp rice flour
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida
Salt to taste
1 tsp red chilli powder
Pinch of cooking soda
Take all the ingredients in a bowl,add water and make a semi thick batter and keep aside

PROCEDURE:

  • Put the gobi florets in the water ,adding some salt for 20 mins
  • Wash the gobi florets well and drain all the water,add little salt and toss well
  • Heat oil in a kadai,once it becomes hot,dip each floret in the batter and deep fry on a medium flame till it becomes golden brown and crisp
  • Put the fried pakodas on the tissue paper 
  • Have it hot with tea or coffee and enjoy..
