Gobi Upkari / Stir Fry


INGREDIENTS:
2 cups gobi / cauliflower cut into florets
1 small potato cut into small cubes
4 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
4-5 methi seeds
1/2 tsp hing/ asafoetida
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1.5 tsp red chilli powder
Salt to taste

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash well potato and gobi florets in water and drain all the water
  • Heat oil,add mustard,once it crackles,add haldi,hing,methi seeds fry for a second
  • Add cut gobi and potato cubes,salt  and sprinkle little water
  • Cover with a tight lid and cook till it becomes tender
  • Add red chilli powder and cook for 5 mins and serve hot with rice and dal.
