Mushroom Mint Masala
INGREDIENTS:
10 Button mushrooms
2 tblsp oil
2 finely chopped onions
1/2 tsp turmeric pwder
2 tblsp curds
3 tsp fresh cream
Salt to taste
FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
In 2 tsp oil fry roughly chopped 1 onion, 5 garlic cloves,1/2 inch ginger
3 green chillies,8 mint leaves,1 handful coriander leaves,2 lavang,small piece cinnamon .Fry till onion becomes light brown, once it vcomes to room temperature grind into a fine paste
PROCEDURE:
- Wash mushrooms,cut into 4 pieces or slices and keep aside
- In a pan heat oil,saute onions till they turn translucent
- Add turmeric powder, ground masala paste and saute for a second
- Add mushrooms,salt to taste and 1/4 cup water ,let it cook
- Once mushrooms are done add curds,fresh cream and mix well
- Ad your mushroom mint masala is ready to serve
- Enjoy with hot phulkas,naan or paratha.
- You can try this recipe with chicken, prawns ,paneer or baby potatoes too.
