Karwari style Fish Masala Fry



INGREDIENTS:
4 slices of king fish/ surmai/anjal / visonu
5 tsp oil
1onion finely chopped
1 sprig of curry leaves
Salt to taste
Chopped coriander leaves
2 tsp Lemon juice

FOR THE MASALA PASTE:
1 roughly chopped onion
4 cloves garlic
1/2 inch ginger piece
10 byadgi or kashmiri red chillies
1 tsp coriander seeds
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp oil
Roast the above ingredients in oil for 5 mins and make a fine paste

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash the fish well and apply little salt and keep
  • Heat oil in a pan ,put curry leaves,chopped onions and saute until it becomes light brown
  • Add the ground masala as per your taste and fry for 5 mins
  • Add 1/4 cup water, salt to taste ,mix well and keep the fish slices in the masala and cook 
  • After 5 mins,flip the fish slices and cook another side
  • Once the fish is cooked,garnish with chopped coriander leaves and lemon juice
  • Serve hot wirh rice,ghee rice or noodles.
