Oats and Dal Adai








INGREDIENTS:
1 cup powdered  oats
!/4 cup toor dal
1/4 cup chana dal
1/4 cup moong dal
Salt to taste
2 red  chillies
1/2 inch ginger
2 finely chopped onion
Chopped coriander leaves
Oil for cooking dosa

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash and soak dals in water for one hour. Drain the water and grind with red chillies,ginger into a coarse paste
  • Put the ground paste in a bowl, add the powdered oats,salt,mix well.Add water  to make it to a dosa  batter consistency
  • Keep the batter aside for one hour. Heat tava ,spread a laddle full of batter, spread the mixture of chopped onions and coriander leaves over the dosa.
  • Drizzle with oil and cook till it becomes crisp 
  • You can also  add the chopped onions and coriander leaves to the batter and make dosas
  • Serve hot adai with coconut chutney
