Ghosale Sheere Chutney / Ridgegourd skin chutney
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup ridgegourd skin washed and roughly chopped
1/2 cup grated coconut
Chickpea size tamarind
Salt to taste
2 tsp oil
5 garlic cloves
2-3 green chillies
FOR THE TEMPERING:
2 tsp oil
1 tsp mustard
Curry leaves
PROCEDURE:
- In 2 tsp oil fry garlic cloves, chopped green chillies till its colour changes
- Add chopped ridgegourd skin in the same pan and fry till it colour changes (for about 10 mins)
- Grind grated coconut with tamarind, salt and roasted ngredients with little water
- Make a fine paste and temper with the mentioned ingredients
- Serve with rice , dosa or idli.
