Hyderabadi Paneer Palak Curry


INGREDIENTS:

INGREDIENTS TO BE ROASTED AND GROUND:

2 cups chopped palak/ spinach
2 tsp oil
1 roughly chopped onion
1 chopped tomato
1/2 inch ginger
4 garlic cloves
2 green chillies chopped


1cup paneer cubes
1/2 cup curd
1 tblsp fresh cream
chopped coriander leaves
2 tblsp ghee or oil
1 finely chopped onion
1/2 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala pdr
2 tsp kasuri methi

PROCEDURE:

  • Wash palak and chop roughly. Heat oil and fry roughly chopped onion,ginger,garlic cloves , green chillies . Once the onions are transparent add tomatoes and fry for 5 mins
  • Add chopped palak and fry till te leaves are wilted. Turn off the flame and grind it once it comes to room temperature
  • Heat ghee / oil in a skillet add finely chopped onions and fry till they turn light pink
  • Add the ground spinach mixture anf fry for about 5 to 10 mins
  • Add salt and spice powders and fry for a minute
  • Now add the curd and mix well. Now drop i thepaneer cubes,little water ,kasuri methi and let it boil for 5 mins
  • Check the salt and turn off the flame
  • Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and fresh cream
  • Serve hot with rotis, naan or poori.
