Garlic Bread
INGREDIENTS:
For the dough:
1/3 cup warm milk
1 tsp dry yeast/ any yeast
1 tsp sugar
Pinch of salt
3 cloves finely chopped garlic
3/4 tsp oregano
1 tsp unsalted butter, at room temperature
1 cup plain flour/maida/all purpose flour
2 tsp oil
For garlic butter:
1/4 cup butter, melted
3 cloves finely chopped garlic
2 tblsp coriander leaves finely chopped
Other ingredients:
3 tblsp plain flour/ maida/ all purpose flour
1/4 cup mozarella cheese/ or any other cheeseof your choice
2 tsp chilli flakes
1 tsp oregano
1 tsp mixed herbs
PROCEDURE:
- In a large mixing bowl take warm milk,dry yeast and sugar. Mix well and rest for 5 mins.
- Furthermore,add pinch of salt.garlic and oregano.
- Additionally add butter,maida and start to knead the dough
- Furter coat the dough with oil, cover and rest for two hours
- After two hours punch the dough.
- In a small bowl mix in butter, chopped garlic and coriander leaves
- Spread the prepared garlic butter over the dough generously.
- Furter top the half of the dough with mozarella cheese and season with oregano and chilli flakes
- Fold the dough into half and seal the edges
- Brush the top of bread with generous amount of prepared garlic butter and also top it with chilli flakes and oregano
- Make marks over the bread with a knife without cutting it fully
- Transfer it on a greased baking tray . Bke in preheated ovenat 180 degree celsius for 15-20 mins
- Cut the garlic bread once it is baked. Serve hot .
